Your past does not define
how you must move forward;
each day belongs to you.
Ideas may not have worked,
but that doesn’t mean every idea will fail.
Give yourself permission to
trust yourself, to trust your process,
to learn.
You are more than the doubts formed in your mind,
more than the comparisons that you make,
more than the fears you are hoping to overcome.
This is your mind,
your body,
your soul,
your day
your life.
Claim it.
Thank you, everyone, for reading, sharing, and supporting my work. I love hearing about how my words have impacted you.
There have been times in my life where I’ve talked about things, things that, through a deep sense of inner knowing and an ever renewing passion from within, I know to be my life’s purpose. Yet I speak about these things as if they are something I just dabble in, something I merely play around with for fear that, in other’s eyes, I would have to be enough, do enough, succeed enough before I can outwardly and proudly claim my identity and my truth.
This is my truth:
I am a poet and a writer, a crochet fabric artist and pattern designer, a musician, a visual artist, and a calligrapher.
I wish you hope and peace as you discover, hold onto, and find the courage to live and claim your identity and your truth.
Give yourself the freedom to play, discover, and explore, but know that you do not have to downplay your life’s purpose.
Have a wonderful day,
Susannah
Your purpose is to have a good, FULL life, Susie. & WOW! Do you EVER!!! :) You didn't add photographer in your long list, unless that's the visual artist you mentioned. I'm assuming YOU take all the pictures you include with your writings. Once again, a beautiful, POWERFUL writing, Susie Q! :) Love ya, Girl!
