I often see posts on Facebook and Instagram that start “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…”. So, I thought just because I feel like it, I’d share my own list on here.

Alright, here we go.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…
1. You’ve worked hard enough. Go get some water and something to eat. Your worth does not lie in your productivity. You deserve to rest.
2. Get going on that project you’ve been dreaming about. Even if it’s writing a short list of goals or doing a small amount of research to inspire yourself, give yourself that time. Carry no regrets from the past. Be gentle with yourself, choose to move forward, and know that you deserve to succeed.
3. Just eat the chocolate. Basically, just do what you want. There’s something in your mind that you want to do, and it’s clouded by “shoulds”, by fears, by expectations. Hold compassion for yourself as you let those things go, and go ahead and do what you want.
4. I’m proud of you for all you are overcoming, and you deserve to be proud of yourself. Make it your goal to encourage a few people this week. Focusing on extending love and compassion may help to regulate your nervous system. Loving others can bring a sense of peace to your mind and soul. You’re not alone. I’m here.
5. Read. Take some time away from social media this week and give yourself the gift of delving into a good book. You deserve to take some time for yourself. Nourishing your mind is just as important as nourishing your body.
